Egypt
Let's take a look at Egypt these days. Well the curfew is still in place. The Muslim Brotherhood is still outlawed. There is still turmoil in the streets from time to time. The United States dropped sending aid to the military dictatorship that has taken over since the Morsi Coup.
Yeah the military was quick to step in and take over when all the unrest took place last summer. You know you would have thought that the Egyptian people would be tired of living under the military. All those years that they lived such lives what some 40 plus years I believe but they seem to enjoy it. What's funny is that they are navigating back to the Russians like they did those many years ago. Man what would we call that on the street oh yeah a bloody whore.
Egypt we dropped you cause your a bunch of idiots. Go back to the Russians for help see what that will get ya. When ya feel the urge to say to the U.S. please help us. I hope whoever we have as a President will have the power to say no. Drop dead.

Spy Game
A short time ago the world got wind that the United States had been spying on it's friends. OK, that's cool we got caught with our hand in the cookie jar. Now what bothers me is that all those years that our friends had been spying on us and didn't get caught. Look this has been going on for hundreds of years. I'm Chancellor Merkel got her knickers in a bunch.
Does she not remember East and West Germany and all the years of spying that was going on over there. Are you kidding me lady. Look I'm not for President Obama and I'm certainly not in favor of the NSA and all it stands for. I just can't sit back and listen to the whining of the French and Germans and the British. Come on guys yes we are all friends and yes we spy on each other. It's what governments do. So on behalf of the American people we are sorry our government is too stupid to not get caught.

Prayer for 11/17/2013
Lord you have given us all free will. You have been there when we needed you in our lives. Lord there can be said that many times in my life I have turned my back on you. What I am always amazed about is that you are always walking with me and taking care of me.
Lord today I pray for all those in the Philippines who are homeless and without food. I pray for all country's that are trying to find themselves and which way they wish to go. This past summer so much turmoil and unrest.
Lord I pray for the week ahead that we may all feel the warmth of your love. Lord I pray for all who read my words and that you are there for them. Lord we are simple people who need you in our lives.

World Cancer Day
Today is World Cancer Day. As some or most of you know my mother died from cancer. What you don't know is that she fought it for 15 years before it got the better of her. During those 15 years, she raised me, carted me to all my sporting events, was my cub scout leader, and friend. She worked full time for Metropolitan life and help comfort those who had just been through the mastectomy process that she had been through. She worked as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. In other words as my Mother was battling something she also was living. My Mother died in 1979 at the age of 40. She lived a pretty full life for only being here that short time. I just wanted to say since March 24th 1979 there hasn't been a day since, that I haven't thought about her. Joan Muller Granger you were a really special lady and thanks for being my Mother. To all who are battling any form of Cancer now, don't give up the fight. We only have one chance at this life so make the most of it. Just thought I'd mention it.

Prayer For 10/15/2013
Sorry for not saying the prayer with you for so long. I have been having some deep heart felt problems. I have been saying the prayer but only for myself. I need your prayers just as much as you need mine.
Lord forgive me for being slack on my morning prayer with everybody. Life caught up with me and has made me wonder if what I'm doing is all the best I can be. Lord you know that I have always been a follower of yours. My problem is sometimes I let myself get caught up in the stupidity of everything that I shouldn't. You see Lord it bothers me to see what's going on in Egypt, United States, Syria, Russia. Korea's, China, OK let's face there is way too much crap going to keep naming the countries. Lord we need your help. All of us not just myself. We need you to open the hearts of all who have a gripe with their neighbor.
We are not bad people we just have problems with getting along. Lord this way of living is getting to many of us. It must stop. We must all get along. Lord I pray this morning. To all on the planet Earth, I'm sorry for the sins of our fathers and ourselves. I don't believe we mean to hurt each other. Lord may we all live in peace. To all of you who read my prayers, I'll see you tomorrow. Amen

For those in the Middle East I pray you one day come to grips with your past and your future and can make peace with your neighbors. Lord it has been 12 years since the Towers went down in New York City. It has been 12 years since our country has been able to feel at Peace. Lord we don't hate the Arabs but they sure hate us. You know what's really a shame is that even the Arabs can't live with themselves. They are in-fighting amongst themselves. Father this has all to stop. We are all human beings. Lord you answer my prayers and you give me the courage to deal with another day. You are in my life and you give the love I need. Father I pray for all who need you in their lives. U.N. gets shot at in Syria
United Nations inspectors were shot at by snipers on there way to view the area where a chemical attack was reported last week. President Assad has finally allowed the U.N. to enter his country to see whether or not that chemical weapons were used last week on civilians. Assad says that it was the Rebels who used chemical weapons and vice versa the Rebels accuse Assad. Unfortunately we may never know the true story. The Americans feel it was Assad and the Russians and Iranians feel it was the Rebels. The Americans have been told not to intervene in any way militarily by the Russians and the Iranians. Nuke them all this is getting nuts.
Middle East Update
Well it has been one interesting summer in the middle east. Starting off in Syria we have the Syrian government blaming the rebels for a chemical attack and we have the rebels blaming the Syrian government for the attack. The talks that were supposed to happen this summer between the rebels and the Syrian government won't take place. It seems Russia has sent weapons to the Syrian government and the Americans who promised to send arm to the Rebels has not taken place. You also have the Russian President Putin and the American President Obama not wanting to play together. You also have Iran and Lebanon interfering and talking trash.

Lord please watch over all of us. Help us in the week ahead. Allow us to be better individuals to our family and friends. Lord each day we do try harder but we just sometimes don't always seem to get it together. Please I beg you to come down here and help us. We are not getting it together in the Middle East. Each day there is more death and it seems to be they are more mad at each other than at the United States. Egypt's military is firing on and killing Muslim Brotherhood protesters. Guess democracy isn't going to work in Egypt anymore. Word is the military is assigning Generals to govern the provinces. Obama Says No To Putin
Russian President Putin has given NSA Leaker Snowden asylum for one year and Obama is pissed off about it. The two were supposed to talk next month at the G-20 but Obama says that will not happen. Putin had every right to offer asylum to Snowden but if he wanted to he could have handed him over to the U.S. The Russians and the United States relationship has been troubled over the past year. This means the Syrian conflict will not have any conversations, thus allowing this to continue. No communications about Egypt will allow that trouble to continue. These two countries having problems talking will prolong problems among many countries. Wow. Why can't we all just get along?

Cuba Goes Solar
Cuba has opened up its first solar farm towards renewable energy. It's only going to power some 780 homes in the Cantarrana area but it's a step in the right direction. Cuba tried to gather its energy from off shore oil rigs but that doesn't seem to be paying off.
There will eventually be seven farms such as the one in Cantarrana and it looks like this could be a good source of alternative energy for the Cuban Island.

Iranian President Wants To Talk With The World
Iranian President Rouhani took the oath of office this past weekend and already wants to have talks with the outside world over releasing Iran from sanctions. He is wanting face to face meetings with Europe and eventually with the United States. Sanctions have been taking there toll on the economy with teachers not getting paid. As well as less income coming in from oil. China has been bartering with goods rather than paying in cash to Iran for its purchases of oil.
Khamenei, the supreme leader does not agree with this President and feels that these talks would not prove beneficial to Iran. Israel has said that a nuclear Iran in any way shape or form is unacceptable. More to come in the upcoming months as the man has only been in power for a couple of days.

Medical Marijuana Fires Up
The State of Florida and it's campaign for Medical Marijuana has begun to take shape in earnest. The pros and cons have begun to be spoken in and among legislators and amongst the voters. The pros have some medical experts stating that yes it would be for the greater good. Some who are against it speak to the fact that we will just have more addicts in other areas doing other drugs.

The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want. The Lord has been at my side for many decades. I once was a major sinner and then one day I made peace with our Lord. I couldn't beat him so I finally just gave up fighting. Since then he has been there for me and has given me what I need when I needed it. There are times that I would pray and I would want something but God will only give me what I wanted when he felt I needed it. The Lord does live for us and will be there for us but it is in his time when will get something. Congress Adjourns for Summer Recess
Nothing got done. No new bills. No old bills. Major dissent between Democrats and Republicans and Tea Partiers. American people once again got ripped off because we have to pay these jackasses to go to Washington and do nothing.
Well now they are back in their home states telling everyone how hard it is to get anything done up there in Washington. We the people don't want to hear it. We want action and I can tell you this Ladies and Gentlemen if you don't start getting some things done to correct this crap that you are handing us, we will use the ballot box and get you unelected. Welcome to the Machine
Life is like a machine. When we were young we learn how to operate the bugger. We learn the procedures that make up the process of living. We learn how to maintain the machine, keep it oiled and cared for. We learn at a young age that we are required to this work for the rest of our lives. We learn right from wrong. We learn that if we operate our machines that we will have a retirement and be able to relax in our old age. Okay, here is the problem the machine is broke and no one knows how to fix it. We kill, rape, steal, and do just about everything we can to make the easy buck. We have lost our way and don't realize that if we don't properly teach our children how to operate their machines that in later years they will never leave the homestead. We have screwed ourselves and it is time to lay down our weapons and look each other in the eye and say we must get along for our children's sake . No more Muslim against Christian. No more Sunni versus Shiite. No more capitalism against communism. No more black versus white. We are all brothers and sisters and we must learn to get along so we can fix the machine. If we don't we leave this world worse off than when we got it, our children will inherit a world far more broken than when we inherited it. Let's fix the machine today.

Eygptian Military Wants Protesters To Go Home
Military sources are saying they have told the Muslim Brotherhood that they are getting tired of the protests and will start to get tougher with the crowds. Just like today where they brought out the tear gas. The Muslim Brotherhood just can't seem to understand this is a done deal. They are out of power and all they can cause is bloodshed to innocent people. Look I'm not saying that Morsi is totally at fault here. Egypt was having troubles with the economy and all Morsi wanted to do is bring the Brotherhood more into the equation. The people rose up and deposed the man. Is this Democracy at it's best, not even close. The United States has been at this Democracy thing for over two hundred years and believe me we still haven't got it completely right, but we try. You can't just elect a guy and then a year later say that's all your gone. Just like you can't consolidate power and leave out the majority. It just won't work. So get your act together Egypt, have some patience, and work together. You'll get it right, have faith. Peace.

The Egyptian Military has been busy shooting Muslim Brotherhood protesters. These protesters feel Ex-President Morsi was illegally overthrown from power. This all started about a month ago when protesters started to fill the streets in the millions to bring down the Morsi government. Egypt had elected him about two years ago but since then the economy has been struggling and Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood had been trying to consolidate power. This infuriated the civilian populace.

The United States for awhile was at it's wits end because if it was called a coup then the funds that the U.S. had been sending to Egypt would have stopped. World Youth Day and Pope Francis.
To the country of Brazil, I send my love and warm wishes. I am so proud of you and your people. Last week I was afraid demonstrations would ruin today's beautiful mass. I was wrong. Last week, you let the world know that as a country you are upset that so much was to be spent on keeping the Pope safe from any harm. As a fellow Catholic I'm glad that you didn't allow your suffering to shadow this blessed event. You see our children are our future. I believe that when you are hungry and without shelter then you have a right to complain but I'm glad you allowed his Holiness the Pope to visit your beautiful country and enjoy your warmth. The world needs these youth days to show our young that there is love out there for things that are out of our control. The Pope visited your worst slum and brought more coverage than any protest would ever have. You see the world is aware of your suffering now and it was done peacefully. I beg you not to give up the fight with your government and to bring needed materials and hopes into your poorest of poor areas. Ask the world for help and we will give it. As all the people go home from their visit and tell of the beauty and the sadness that is your country. They will in return tell their stories and they will send help. Lord bless you this Sunday morning. Thank you for all the help you gave to me last week. Much was accomplished and it was you who helped me to overcome all obstacles. Father there will be times in the week ahead where I will need you to help me with any problems that may arise. I know together you and I will knock those walls down and get the job done. The Lord watches over us. He protects us and cares for us. He does not let us overdo what we can't do sometimes. He does allow us to reach for goals and helps us to get to them. Lord I give you my soul and my life. I look forward to this day and all that it entails. You have given me bread to eat and warmth in my bed. You give me shelter from the storms. Lord thank you for taking away my feelings of despair. Thank you for giving me the strength to overcome my doubts and fears. You have always been there for me Lord and I only wish you could help more like you help me. Lord we have a lot of people down here who are very depressed and suicidal. They need your help and I pray that you come into their lives and bring them all back to us. I have seen too many people commit suicide and some I could have helped if only I had seen the signs. Lord you have given me life again. For so many years I was lost in the wilderness. I stumbled out of the darkness and back into the light. It was with your help Lord. I thank you each and every day for allowing me to live again. Lord there are so many people out there who have been lost and are still wandering in the dark. Prayer For 7/19/2013
Lord how I wish you were here to walk with me down to the shore and walk the beach. For me the beach is the where I feel so spiritual. I use to go every Saturday during the summer with my Mother to the beach. It gives me strength and a renewal for living. Sometimes Lord it's hard to get up in the morning and face the world. There are so many who hate us for being American. There are so many who are American who others in the world. Lord why can't we just all get along. I do not hate my neighbors. Lord help us to live in peace this and every day. Amen
World Youth Day Festival
Next week in Brazil will be the week long festival of World Youth. This is time when children from countries all around the planet will gather in one spot to pray, sing, and hopefully learn how to get along with one another. Pope Francis will be in attendance and will not be riding around in the Pope mobile. Pope Francis will be using the vehicle he uses in St. Peters Square to get around.
Look Brazil I know you have been protesting all the problems of your country but I ask you to come together and pray with his Holiness the Pope and all the children of the World. Welcome them to your country. I know things may seem bad but please I beg of you open your hearts and all will eventually be OK. Have Faith and Trust in our Lord.

The Lord works in mysterious ways. I can't say how or why but I know this prayer does work. Egypt Still In Turmoil
Former President Morsi and Muslim Brotherhood supporters are still protesting the removal of Morsi from power. Death has been occurring everyday with clashes between military and the protesters. The United States is still at an impasse as to funds that are supposed to be going to the Egyptian Government. They have not decided what to do about the military coup. In the agreement between the two countries it states that if a military coup occurs that funds will be stopped.
The temporary Government of Egypt has stated that elections will be held in the coming year at the earliest. I hope that the country survives until then.
