Now you would think that this Doctor would be professional and all but when you meet him for the first time he can really put you off. He has the most unorthodox way about him. 'A Place To Call Home, Season 6-The Final Chapter' DVD Review

'A Place To Call Home' is a beautiful story about the Bligh family living in rural Australia during the 1950’s. This romantic drama deals with many social issues of the day like single motherhood, racism, homosexuality and the lasting effects of WWII. This final season has the wealthy landowner George Bligh (Brett Climo) marrying his nurse Sarah Nordmann (Marta Dusseldorp). This wedding is really a simple affair but what it causes is catastrophic to George’s Mother Elizabeth (Noni Hazlehurst). For years she ran the household and with the new addition of Sarah she feels pushed out of the away. James (David Berry), George’s son, returns home and starts a business in Sydney. George’s daughter Anna (Abby Earl), continues to live in beautiful Hawaii with her sister-in-law (Arianwen Parkes-lock wood). Anna is hiding a secret from the rest of the family.
