Leo Vincent (Iain Glen) has been dead for almost a year. When he was alive he was an interesting fellow. He was a chef by trade and a philandering fool by night. He left behind a a failing hotel called The Penrose Hotel. His ex-wife Gina (Dawn French) and his widow Sam (Emilia Fox) have been doing their best to turn it into a profitable enterprise. It hasn’t been easy but they are making a little headway. Sam does the paperwork while Gina does the cooking between the two they are making a small profit. They are not the best of friends. They argue about almost everything whether it be personal or professional.
In this series The Penrose is being investigated by the police and some unexpected guests show up. The girls hire a very handsome man that kind of throws a monkey wrench into the works. You would think the two women would be able to carry this off but they are a disaster in the making. The funny thing is that Leo keeps hanging around and talks about his life from beyond the grave. What’s even worse is his secrets seem to haunt the family and doesn’t make life easy for them.
The backdrop for the show is the wonderful scenery of the landscape of Cornwall. 'Delicious' also features Aaron Anthony and Sheila Hancock to round out a wonderful cast. This is a wonderful comedy/drama about the complexity of the human nature. It will leave you in hysterics and wanting more. Acorn will be bringing this fabulous show to DVD on July 3rd, 2018. The sights and sounds of the DVD are exquisite. The quality of the DVD is excellent. This a perfect addition to that personal library and you will have hours of pure enjoyment watching Delicious.
