Dr. Ruby Walker (Amrita Acharia)has moved to a coastal town in Southern India. She arrived in India looking for work and found one in a low funded, stressful hospital. The funniest thing is that it is what she needed. She left England to get away from a horrible heart break. In other words she needed desperately to find a new beginning. Good Karma Hospital is in rural India but is a beautiful place to work.
Dr. Lydia Fonseca (Amanda Redman) is a very determined boss but she is what Walker needs to further her career. Now Lydia’s boyfriend Greg (Neil Morrissey) is trying to help Paul, a man who lost his wife recently and run his own beach bar at the same time it makes for some interesting moments in his relationship with Lydia. Walker spars with her colleague Dr. Gabriel Varma (James Krishna Floyd) and if Varma wasn’t so standoffish the two would get along much better. You see Walker finds him extremely attractive but she just can’t seem to break his walls down.
Walker has found a new found love interest in Varma. She is continuing to grow as a doctor under the tutelage of Fonseca and she is getting all the experience in a hospital that cries out for help. The scenery is breathtaking and adds a certain charm for Walker. All in all she made s good decision when she moved to rural India.
