Director Rob Zombie takes us down the road with another horror story and this one is a doozy. Our heroes as they are called are three serial killers. Otis Driftwood (Bill Moseley), Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) are being taken into the hospital. They will later be taken to incarceration for their crimes. Prison is there justice but prison is not where they will stay. Breakout comes, and now Foxy (Richard Brake) is with them. Vengeance is taken against the prison warden and our heroes are on the move.
There is no sheriff after them as they flee across the border into Mexico. As a matter of fact a group of Mexican gangsters known by the name of The Black Satan's are now after our heroes. Don’t get me wrong, these four main characters are not true heroes, but in Rob Zombie’s mind they are. In reality they are simply depraved sadistic killers and prove this time again in our movie. The death and destruction that our heroes are involved in during the beginning of the movie is very depraved. Once they are in prison they seem to take on a tone of being likeable. It’s when they escape and are on the lam that they once again become the despicable beings they actually are.
Rob Zombie has been able to turn out some very interesting movies and '3 From Hell' happens to be one of them. Lionsgate has brought us this taste of horror to DVD and it’s worth picking up. The quality of the DVD is excellent and the sights and sounds are superb. This will make a wonderful addition to your personal library. This will also be a great gift for that special someone in your life for the holidays.
