Ida Engvoll plays Rebecka an unconventional but very successful lawyer. She lives in Stockholm, Sweden. She has a very handsome boyfriend and someone would think she has the greatest of lives. Rebecka gets word from her hometown that a childhood friend has died. She has done her best at leaving her hometown behind her but this news has her dreading the trip back home. Her friends death has been ruled as an accident but Rebecka begins to see things differently. She believes that her friend was possibly murdered.
Rebecka gets in touch with Anna Maria Mella (Eva Melander) who works for the police force. Anna looks over what Rebecka has found and believes that it could have been murder. The two women begin the work of trying to find the killer but eventually find out some info that could shake Rebecka to her core. Rebecka begins to look at some facts about her life that could bring her back to Kiruna (her hometown) for good. Anna is very impressed with the way Rebecka works and wants her to work for the local police. The problem with this move is that Rebecka would have to look at her past like she has never done before.
Rebecka has a good life in Stockholm. She has a very successful law practice and a boyfriend that most women would die for. Acorn brings this wonderful show to DVD on February 27th, 2018.
