Frank Hardcastle (Larry Lamb) is a man who owns and runs a Holiday Park on the North Wales coast. The park is a little outdated but it is comfy and cozy and the scenery is beautiful. His daughter Carys (Caroline Sheen) decides to come home with her son. This would be okay, but the girl is a little nuts. This is the first time Carys has come home since her mom’s death some 18 months ago. Now Frank is getting up in years and he’s been thinking about selling the place.
Carys finds out about this and immediately works on changing her fathers mind. Carys wants to plan events of medieval re-enactments to try and lure customers. Carys also wants to try and entice the fitness freaks with fitness retreats and the such. Now, Carys is a little on the strong willed side and doesn’t want to give up. She has problems with her teenage son who is going through some tough times. So it’s not easy for her to get these ideas going. The funny part of all this is the residents of Daffodil Dunes are very content with the way things are with the way Frank has been running everything and really like their cozy little place in North Wales. Carys also has to deal with Iona (Hayley Mills) an estate agent that her father got in touch with and she has ideas of her own.
Acorn brings this family drama to DVD on September 24th, 2019. The quality of the DVD is fantastic and the sights and sounds are superbly excellent. Another aspect of this show is the scenery of Anglesey, North Wales where it was filmed. This is a wonderful addition to that personal library of DVDs you may have at home. So don’t waste any time and pick this one up soon.
