'Murdoch Mysteries: Home For The Holidays' DVD Review

Detective William Murdoch (Yannick Bisson) is a Toronto Detective that embraces the new forensic technology. He is very methodical and some would even say he is somewhat dashing. He is always involved in Toronto’s most horrendous murder cases.
Murdoch and his wife Dr. Julia Ogden (Helene Joy) are wanting to take some time and enjoy the Christmas holidays. They figure that they will head down to Victoria, British Columbia and spend some time with Murdoch’s brother Jasper (Dylan Neal) and his family. Now the trip is somewhat uneventful but when they arrive it seems that all heck breaks loose. A murder takes place at an archaeological site and they become involved. This murder kind of puts a jinx on the holiday spirit. Back in Toronto Constable Crabtree (Jonny Harris)and Constable Higgins (Lachlan Murdoch) are wanting to impress their ladies before a skiing outing takes place. Inspector Brackenreid (Thomas Craig) invests in a money making scheme with his wife and the funny part is it’s with a man named Ponzi. All in all this is a wonderful holiday treat for all to watch. Kate Hewlett, Jake Epstein and Megan Follows guest star in this holiday treat.
'Murdoch Mysteries' is always a joy to watch and this story is just about one of the best. You can sit and watch this one over and over. Acorn brings this holiday treat to us on DVD on September 18th, 2018. The quality of the DVD is excellent and the sights and sounds are perfect. 'Murdoch Mysteries' has been around for eleven seasons and could very easily go for another eleven. The show is set in Edwardian Canada and this adds a certain flare to the show. The fact that they use forensic technology that we take for granted nowadays also makes it very interesting. So don’t waste any time and pick this one up for that personal library of yours.
