'Hidden' DVD Review

DI Cadi John (Sian Reese-Williams) has returned to her hometown in Northern Wales. She has come home to be with her father who is seriously ill. Her sisters are also there to help but it is difficult. Cadi is paired with DS Owen Vaughn (Sion Alun Davies) both are very capable at their job but are overloaded with work. A young woman’s body has been found and it appears she is a drowning victim. After looking intensely at the woman’s body it appears she was shackled before her death. Her body was covered with bruises but it was were the bruising was found on the body. Cadi begins to have thoughts that someone may be abducting women holding them captive and later killing them when done torturing them. It’s when another young girl goes missing that Cadi and Owen go into overdrive to find her before she also comes up dead.

The scenery is beautiful and rather rugged as they are in the mountains of Northern Wales. There is a lot of territory to cover and the two of them do their best to cover it all but it looks hopeless. Hidden also has Rhodri Meilir, Gwyneth Keyworth, Gillian Elisa, and Ian Saynor starring in this fabulous series. Cadi wants to be there for her ailing father but her job takes her away from him for sometimes days at a time. Her sisters are there to help but Cadi really wants to make it up to him for being away so long.

Acorn TV is bringing this fabulous series to DVD on November 13th, 2018. The quality of the DVD is excellent and the sights and sounds are exquisite. This wonderful series will be a great addition to your personal library. It would be a great gift for that special person for the holidays. So get this crime thriller and enjoy the action in the beautiful mountains of Northern Wales.
