'Wentworth Season 2' DVD Review

Wentworth Prison is about to undergo some big changes. Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) is being held in the psych ward under heavy medications after being found guilty for manslaughter. She received twelve years for her crime and since the murder of her daughter she has not been able to run anything. While Bea has been laid up Franky (Nicole da Silva) has taken over running 'Wentworth'. Now, just as Franky thought everything was going her way a new warden shows up on the scene. The new governor of the prison is Joan Ferguson (Pamela Rabe) and wants to put Franky on the ropes.

When Ferguson first came to Wentworth she tried to buddy up to Franky. Franky wanted nothing to do with Ferguson and the new governor will do anything to push Franky out of being top dog.
Ferguson goes to Bea and weens her off the meds but Bea is still hurting over her daughters death and all she can think about is getting her revenge against Brayden Holt (Reef Ireland) the person she blames for her daughters death. Ferguson finally goes to the prison itself and tries to recruit informants. This puts the prison population in a bad place, forcing them to choose sides.
This opens up 'Wentworth Season 2' to some very interesting twists and turns. Wentworth brings us into the lives of inmates and shows us how most of the time a person inside lives by their wits to survive.

Acorn brings this excellent storyline to us on DVD on March 7th2017. The quality of the DVD is excellent and the sights and sounds are fantastic. This will make an excellent addition to that personal library. You'll love to watch season 2 so much that you will want to pick up season 1. Will Franky be able to hold on to that coveted slot of being number one or will Bea get her revenge for her daughters death and take back her spot as nĂºmero uno in the prison hierarchy. Don't waste any time and pick this one up and find out what the women of Wentworth Prison do with all the upcoming changes. Enjoy.
