'Elena And The Secret Of Avalor' DVD Review

Elena (Aimee Carrero) takes a walk with a young Naomi (Jillian Rose Reed ) and tells her the tale of the Amulet. Princess Elena had rushed out to the carriage that carried her parents. Closely behind was a green mist. Elena watched as her parents died and when an evil sorceress by the name of Shuriki (Jane Fonda) was about to harm Elena it was her Amulet that saved her. It had drawn her inside and it was here that she would stay for the next 41 years.

The story jumps ahead to a young Princess Sofia (Ariel Winter). Sophia had been bothered by what she thought were just dreams or thoughts. One day she is drawn to a secret library and a certain book. The book is haunted by Alakazar (Andre Sogliuzzo) who had been searching for a way to free Elana from the Amulet but who grew old and finally became the book. He would tell Sofia the whole story and she would get her parents to vacation in Avalor. Sofia would eventually meet up with Alakazar's grandson Mateo (Joseph Haro). It is here in the story that the real adventure begins.

Disney brings this beautiful story to DVD on February 7th, 2017. The quality of the DVD is excellent and the sights and sounds are exquisite. Once again Disney brings together a tale of such warmth and adventure that it really is a wonderful story for the whole family. The adventure that takes place in trying to free Elena and the fight with Shuriki to force her from Avalor are fantastic. You will not regret wanting to add this DVD to that personal library. The kids will be grateful that this wonderful tale will be there for their enjoyment. So sit back and enjoy Disney at its best.
