Nineteen firefighters battling a blaze sparked by lightening became trapped and lost their lives over the weekend. Thy tried to dig in and wait out the fire as it went over them but the blaze was too strong and engulfed them .
These 19 brave souls were part of an elite group of Hot Shots and they will be sorely missed. The experience of this group as well as the loss of life can never be replaced. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the surviving members of their group as well as the families and friends of these people. They were the best at what they did. We took a great loss and the sadness in our hearts proves it. .
