'The Neon Dead' DVD Review

Allison Hillstead (Marie Baker) is a recent college grad and has inherited a fairly large home. As she gets all moved in and starts to feel at home some strange things begin to happen. All the paranormal activity is something that is definitely out of Allison's hands and she needs help. She hears about two men who claim to be paranormal investigators and has them come out to the house to take a look. Desmond (Greg Garrison) and Jake (Dylan Schettina) are really just a couple of guys that could be more slackers than paranormal investigators. As soon as the guys show up at the house they come into contact with an entity that they really can't seem to come up with what it actually is. They call it a zombie but its not really?

The men actually learn that the force behind all the evil is a long dead relative that is controlled by an evil demon. What the men had to learn is that once they killed off the first demon there actually is a whole army of the creatures intent on the possession of each and every human they come in contact with. One of the good points of the movie are the creatures themselves. They are neon in design and when they are on the screen it adds a bunch to the movie. The visual effects are out of this world and the horror is pretty cool too.

Wild Eye Releasing brings us this horror show to DVD on September 13th, 2016. The quality is excellent and the sights and sounds are truly exquisite. This is an interesting look at horror and at first you want to say goodnight but the movie keeps you interested and the ending is great. This is one of those films that you will want to add to your DVD personal library. So take the time to pick up a copy and see who is actually tormenting Allison in this wonderfully old home that she recently inherited. It's funny to find out if Desmond and Jake are actually paranormal investigators or just a couple goons claiming to be. Enjoy.
