Democratic Convention Day Two Wrap Up

It was an historical evening in the city of brotherly love. Philadelphia saw the first woman nominated by any party for the Presidency of the United States of America. No matter how you feel about Hillary Clinton it really doesn't matter. Whether you want Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders you have to admit this was a historical evening for all of us. Never before in the history of this country has this ever happened.

Just how good of a day did the democrats have this day? The Bernie Sanders debacle has finally been put to rest. Senator Sanders was on hand with the Vermont delegation when their votes were announced. He stood up following the announcement and spoke to the convention to rally all his votes behind Clinton. Bernie Sanders is a class act. Whether you agree or disagree with his views you have to admit this man put up the good fight. What he did for the Democratic Party was to bring unity among the ranks. Oh don't get me wrong you are still going to have those die hard delegates  that wanted Sanders for President but with his actions last night he brought many of his followers into the fold and they will now back Clinton for President.

The final act of a history making day was former President Bill Clinton getting onstage and speaking of his wife in such a way that for some in the audience you could see tears being wiped away. Bill Clinton the statesman did it again. When Bill Clinton is on he is on. He stood in front of the world so to speak and spoke openly about his wife. He touched on his first encounters with his future wife back in college. He talked so openly and touching that it literally took one and all a minute to realize that even when Hillary Clinton made her surprise visit to the convention you could see how moved she was about his speech.

Now, what can you do to top this day? It will be interesting to see what happens over the next two days. What will the Trump campaign have to say about all this? Well folks as they say... It's On. We have a Presidential Campaign on our hands and it looks like it's gonna be a good one. Enjoy.
